It's funny how the result of peeing on a stick can be so exciting... hehe
I have had a wonderful pregnancy so far. I have had very little nausea and no sickness- though I have been taking a ton of vitamins to be sure! The only problem that I have is being soooo tired- though I've been told that it's normal and should ease a little in the 2nd trimester.
I had one of my first "important" doctor's appoinments this week. We were supposed to hear the baby's heart beat... but the nurse was unable to find it. So, just to be safe, they scheduled us quickly for an ultrasound. It was the most incredible experience of our lives!!!!
James was at the doctor's office with me and we both watched the screen in amamzement as our baby jumped actively all over the screen. The tech got some really great pictures of our baby and a close-up of his/her face.
We still have 2 more months to wait until we can find out the sex of the baby- but we have decided that neither one of us wants to wait... and we plan to find out!
As of today I am 12 weeks pregnant and my "estimated" due date is September 27th- though they suggested at my last appointment that because of the size of the baby they may move my date up one week (could now be September 20th)
If anyone has any words of advice and books you recommend me reading- please feel free to share. We look forward to the next 6 months and being able to finally hold our beautiful, healthy baby!!!!

Thank you for your encouraging words on our blog. We are so happy for you and are excited to find out what you are having. Boys are great, but I think we still want a girl too, so who knows. As long as he/she is healthy right? Have you been working on names? Andrew is hooked on James. You will have to tell your James. I am still not convinced so we will see. I guess I need to email or call you instead of leaving a book here! Love you!
